Reliable transportation can change what is possible for an individual or family. A dependable vehicle can make it easier to travel to work, attend medical appointments, take children to school, shop for essentials and stay connected with the wider community. At King's Auto Sales in Langford, BC, we have seen how one vehicle can make a meaningful difference in someone's daily life.

That is why we are proud to continue our Annual Car Giveaway for the eighth time. Through this community initiative, King's Auto Sales will provide a free vehicle to an individual or family in need within the Capital Regional District. Residents, friends, relatives, coworkers, neighbours and community members are invited to nominate someone whose circumstances and story deserve consideration.

Our annual giveaway serves communities across Greater Victoria and the wider CRD, including Langford, Victoria, Colwood, View Royal, Saanich, Sooke and surrounding areas. The goal is simple: bring people together to help a local individual or family gain greater freedom, stability and opportunity through reliable transportation.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Nominee Eligibility

  • The nominee must live within the Capital Regional District.
  • The nominee must hold a valid British Columbia driver's licence.
  • The nominee may be an individual or part of a family in need of reliable transportation.
  • No additional eligibility requirements have been announced at this time.

What to Include in a Nomination

  • Tell us about the person or family you are nominating.
  • Explain why you believe the nominee should be considered.
  • Describe how access to a reliable vehicle could improve their daily life.
  • Include the requested contact information and any other details listed in the official nomination instructions.

Anyone can submit a nomination. You do not need to be related to the nominee. A friend, neighbour, coworker, community worker or other person familiar with their circumstances may explain why they believe the nominee is a strong choice for the giveaway.

More Than a Vehicle

Local partners are helping the selected recipient begin their next chapter with additional protection and support.

Maxxam Insurance

Maxxam Insurance will provide the selected recipient with their first three months of vehicle insurance free of charge, helping reduce an important initial ownership expense.

Lubrico Warranties

Lubrico Warranties will provide a complimentary three-year vehicle warranty, offering added protection and greater confidence after the recipient receives the vehicle.

Affordable Auto Repair

Affordable Auto Repair will provide the first year of vehicle maintenance free, helping the recipient care for the vehicle during their first year of ownership.

Caorda Web Solutions

Caorda Web Solutions is contributing complimentary graphic design to help share the giveaway with the community and encourage deserving nominations.

Black Press

Black Press is providing complimentary marketing support, helping more people throughout the Capital Regional District learn about the giveaway.

Annual Car Giveaway Questions

Who is eligible to receive the vehicle?

The nominee must live in the Capital Regional District and hold a valid British Columbia driver's licence.

Who can submit a nomination?

Anyone may nominate an eligible individual or family, provided the submission explains why the nominee should be considered for the giveaway.

What will the selected recipient receive?

The selected recipient will receive a vehicle from King's Auto Sales, three months of insurance from Maxxam Insurance, a three-year warranty from Lubrico Warranties and one year of maintenance from Affordable Auto Repair.

When can nominations be submitted?

Nomination dates and full submission instructions will be shared through King's Auto Sales giveaway updates. Please check this page and our Facebook posts for the latest information.
